The International Art Contest
It starts at the beginning of each school year when we invite kindergartens, schools and other institutions from Slovenia and abroad to send us the artworks of their children, students and users.
Each year they can create pictures on two different topics; one is ‘Play with me’ and the other one is different each year.
The artworks are sent from all parts of Slovenia and also from abroad! Our team carefully examines them and with the help of a custos, we choose which artworks will be exhibited. More about exibition can be found here.
Who is a custos?
A custos is a person who is employed at a museum or at a gallery.
The chosen artworks are then exhibited at the art opening.
The 16th International Art Contest ‘Play with me’ 2022/23
We invite you to join us and participate by submitting your students’ artworks. The main topics this year are: “PLAY WITH ME” (playing with parents, grandparents, with different toys, you may play in school, on the street, in kindergarten, on a meadow) and “FOREST, MY FRIEND” (forest as a source of oxygen, a place for exercise, sports, walks, it provides us with wood to heat our homes, for making wooden toys, it is different in every season of the year and we respect it…).

Where and how do you send the artworks?
On the back of the artwork, the following information should be written in capital letters:
-Name, surname and age of the artist
– Title of the artwork
– Artwork technique
– Name and surname of the mentor
– The exact name of the Institution

*The received artworks will not be returned to the authors; they will remain in the archives of the International Art Contest “Play with me” and they will be used for the exhibition and promotion of INCLUSIVE CULTURE and visual culture of young people.
